In theory, the cosmos is made of solar systems, made of planets, made of solid, liquid, gas substances, made of molecules, made of atoms, made of quarks, etc…. Also, in theory, if the ingredients were to be adjusted to mimic that of any other, the outcome would be that which is mimicked. So if we removed a quark, we could change the atom, the molecule, the substance, the planet, the solar system, the cosmos.
All we need is the catalyst to do this. Ancient scriptures tell of how metal was transformed into gold. Science fictions talks of nanotechnology, allowing micro-scaled repairs on delicate items. I say we can do that if we have a simpler object. A quark sized machine that multiplies indefinitely, performs its duty then destroys itself to provide raw material. We can build civilizations in seconds and alter epidemics to economics just for profit. One can even say it would be magic, tranforming everything to anything.
This technology should take the form of a liquid, such to contain and allow free movement. Kept in bottles and consumed to cure diseased, pour on to disolve, or infused to alter. This can even be sprayed to purify, wiped on to cleanse and displayed to perform. All it would need is to have the initial action and the command.
Accidents will happen, leading to the ever cliched Chemical Blast. But sure, if it’s work that muc to make a miracle potion, then it’s worth giving a toast to.
